About Us

Robert Pye trained at Rycotewood College for two years and then worked as a Cabinet Maker in the New Forest until 1993.

After taking an intensive antique furniture restoration course at West Dean College, West Sussex, he gained a British Antique Dealers Association Diploma in the Restoration and Conservation of Antique Furniture.

After finishing the course he started work for a BAFRA restorer where he remained for some five years. Since then he has worked for three other established restorers, two in the Cotswolds area and one in London.

Robert Pye is a Full Accredited Member of BAFRA, the British Antique Furniture Restorers’ Association and a Fellow of the Institute of Carpenters (FIOC).

In 2001 he set up Pye Antiques Restoration.

Pye Antiques Restoration is a small family business, using traditional methods and materials. Our constant aim is to provide excellence in all areas of antique furniture restoration and conservation.

We are experts in the repair, restoration, preservation and conservation of all types of antique and fine period furniture.

Our workshop is in the South West of England although we have worked on pieces throughout the UK. Predominantly however we work on pieces from Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Wiltshire, and we make regular trips to London. We do offer a collection and delivery service so please contact us to find what services we can offer you.

Do you have a piece of antique furniture or a family heirloom that is in need of attention? Let us lovingly restore it back to its original beauty so it can be cherished and receive the admiration that its craftsmanship deserves.
